All alone in this world as friends and strangers alike pass along side. No concern for my well-being, social plight. They notice no courteous urges to fight. Not even one to say hey, hello or goodbye. Maybe I am just a waste of space and time. Life’s a wild roller-coaster and we’re all just along for the ride.
Cold steel eyes focused on nothing, with anything and everything stealing your attention and clouding your robotic mind. Will it prove any point for me to scream out who am I? Or just as well hang my head so as not to see me cry.
Being alone in the world is excuse enough to want to leave. When all I have is today, and this dime in my pocket I have to squeeze.
Being alone in the world is only a kin to die. If I were you and you were I, would a simple glance and smile touch my heart and change my habitual mind?
Yes, this could be you, as it is now surely me. Curbside with empty baggage, lost in my philosophies, a victim of my life’s atrocities. But don’t be afraid, every now and then to throw a greeting my way. And pray for me that Heaven is a better place these days…
