The “Trickel Down” Theory

“Despite what some may believe, Impoverished is not a synonym for Imbecile.”
Cut Taxes To Create Jobs
The president’s job summit this week may be good public relations, but it won’t do anything to help create jobs in this depressing economy. Despite the $159 billion the administration claims to have already spent on job creation and hundreds of billions more in the pipeline, jobs continue to disappear, with no end in sight. And the only thing that could help turn the situation around isn’t even being discussed: major tax cuts for investors and businesses… More: Cut Taxes To Create Jobs – Yahoo! News.

If you were among the nations wealthiest people wouldn’t you also like to go back to the “Good ‘ol Days” of Reaganomics; now synonymous with Trickle-down Economics. When profits were high, and labor was cheap and abundant. Taxes were coming down along with Trade Unions and Regulations etc. Most of the jobs created were Accountants and Lawyers to find and exploit all the unfavorable legislative loop holes.
It was the “Great Renaissance” of Corporate America. Funny, but I didn’t feel any of the trickle, and personally didn’t know anyone who had seen any either. But I did find plenty of “Tinklers” in Forbes Magazine, and the Billionaire Countdown etc. Which made me feel, well, a little Pissed On Off!
The article I’m commenting on solicits us as a populous to believe that a return to these economic strategies will create jobs, and thus ease the financial woes of the middle class. Jobs, a majority of which will be comprised of minimum wage positions, currently at $7.25 an hour. Merely creating these types of jobs given the current rate of inflation etc etc, will serve only as a band-aid on the hatchet wound that has become the “Working Poor.”
Fostering this type of economic climate deprives workers the comparable net income necessary in today’s market to liberate them from economic stagnation. Enslaving them to the basic expenses of survival. Which again, in cyclical fashion, serves only to supplement the coffers of their benefactors.
I find it difficult to understand anyone who would make such incredulous suggestions at the expense of our intelligence. Especially considering we are not even in the wake of our latest economic bailout fallout caused by aristocratic narcissism and corporate greed. Corporate Power Facts and Stats, by Anup Shah
Personally I have not forgotten about the Bank of America; who after taking $20 Billion of government bailout money issued its top employees $3.6 Billion in bonuses. The many imploded companies like Enron, Lehman Brothers, AIG, etc. Those connected to and involved with the Sub-prime Mortgage Crisis. Or the fact that if totaled, the losses from these anomalies which had been fraudulently squandered from the general public, would rival if not surpass this enormous national debt we are plagued with today.
Not to mention the first $350 Billion that was handed over to the various financial institutions in the beginnings of the crisis. I found the best part of that story was later when the Fed Chairman would have the “Testicular Diameter” to say that he didn’t know where, how much, and to whom the monies were distributed. As if a courier swung by the Federal Reserve with his bicycle and picked up a briefcase with $350 BILLION in it.
Are these the “Caliber” of individuals I am led to believe I should give my approval for a Tax Cut to? Saying I wouldn’t let these moguls cut a piece of paper with plastic scissors would be to imply that they were ignorant to their actions. Sure why not, I’m naive enough to put the mouse in charge of guarding the cheese…
“Instead of cutting taxes for those individuals and businesses with money to invest in creating new jobs, President Obama and Democrats in Congress want to impose a host of new taxes and higher tax rates on the so-called wealthy. The idea is as old as Robin Hood — take from the rich to give to the poor — but redistributing wealth doesn’t work for long.” — (Excerpt From Article)
I guess that depends whether you see Robin Hood as a Hero or Heretic?
