WASHINGTON AP – Federal agencies haven’t lived up to President Barack Obama’s promise of a more open government, increasing their use of legal exemptions to keep records secret during his first year in office.

Why don’t we just call it like it is Sheeple. Here’s a comical, yet fitting acronym for you. How about FFIA, The Freedom “From” Information Act?
The Parade of Propaganda puts on a wonderful spectacle. Pre-election song and fanfare, the Pied Piper drafted as its Master of Ceremonies. Concluded by deceit, decent and outrageous lies. “All the world’s a stage.” Both the Parade and the Show never end.
Our government is about as transparent as a brick wall, and instead of its hypocrisy being dismantled brick by brick, it is continually reinforced by the dark mortar of tyrannical rhetoric.
It’s no wonder that when confronted, and forced to face the material facts of these untruths and malicious lies and false promises, we scatter like roaches into the safety of the first crack we can find. We have come to live in fear of our own creations. Not only the intimidating fear we have adopted towards the government we initiate, but we have also come to fear the children we ourselves make.
I for one am tired of having my nose rubbed in constant, irrefutably apparent contradictions. The governments and elitists have become so brazen and arrogantly unconcerned about what the people think or say. That we are recognized only by their total disregard of our queries, comments and questions. We are being treated like their stepchildren behaving badly.
So who and what is exactly to blame? At least we should know where to lay it. Do we criticize and complain to society because we are inundated and force fed nothing close to the semblance of truth. Should we resort to panhandling our way to truth and enlightenment. Do you think if we said “Pretty Please” we could manage to solicit a reprieve?
I am beginning to think, maybe we don’t deserve the truth! Maybe the truth is insulted by the way we treat it. Inhospitable at best. The way we lend it no respect, not even any conciliatory condolences. We spit in its eye, and pay it no mind, if we pretend everything will be fine maybe the truth will just go away.
Perhaps the truth has abandoned us, because we have abandoned it. Maybe the truth, along with those who artificially produce it are just tired of the charade. But confident still in the ambivalence the game has created within us, that karmic divide it has made.
Both the ugly and grossly disingenuous postures that our governing entities and judicial agencies have taken with us as the very people that provide them with purpose, is just simply obscene. They have been caught in their manipulations, and found admittable in their guilt. However we have been conditioned to be accepting, tolerant and to always turn the other cheek.
Not only does it seem we have lost the will to fight, we have lost even the pride and human dignity to resist. We can only hope and pray that the adolescents of our modern society will gain the strength and fortitude necessary to tear themselves from the fascination and hypnotic grips of virtual reality.
When “Wii” The Game, is replaced with “We” The People.
Or they will find their children playing games entitled; We “were” a People…
